I Believe

Series taught by

Hundreds of years ago a group of Christian leaders got together to settle on a way of understanding what we believe using a collection of pithy sayings. The result was the Apostles Creed which Christians have been using ever since to remind them of the great truths of the gospel. At first sight some of these statements appear very basic, however when you sit down to think about them they all open up the enormous depths of the faith. This term our Sunday morning teaching series is based on the phrases of the Apostles Creed and the scriptural passages that they represent.

I believe in God

“I believe in God, the Father almighty, creator of heaven and earth” - It all starts with him as the originator of the cosmos as we know it.

The death of God

“Suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified, died, and was buried;he descended to the dead” - Christ was the victim of a vicious plot to bring down an ideology. But God had other plans. In this talk we work through the significance of Christ's death
