Membership

Should I become a member of Victoria Baptist Church?

Why become a member anyway?

These are both questions you might ask yourself. We, as a Baptist Church, encourage everyone to become members; it gives a sense of belonging. As a member, you will be able to attend Church Meetings and have a real say in the running of the church. Here you will be able to listen to the leaderships plans for the church before they happen and ask questions or make relevant points so that our policies reflect the views of our members.

When we have new ministerial appointments, you can vote on whether you agree with the choice of the appointments and HR team.

You see exactly how we raise our finances and how we intend to spend them in the following years. How our budgets are allocated and distributed, what mission work we are supporting financially both at home and abroad, what local charities and causes we are contributing to and why.

So, if you are interested, we have a simple procedure for new members, you do not have to be baptised, but you do have to be a practising Christian and agree to our articles of faith as laid down in our Governing Document. These beliefs can be found here: Beliefs of Victoria Baptist Church.
